Drink 0-0, David Schildknecht, Vinous, Nov 2004

There is no non-reserve riesling bottling from Steiner Hund, only this one wine. However, the Saahs family has purchased and replanted a new parcel in the Hund, so there might be more than one bottling in the future. Peach, peach pit and toasted grain on the nose. Wet stone, salts and chalk dust mineral expressions in a slightly grainy-textured, compact palate. Sweet corn, aromatic herbs and pit fruits as well as the aforementioned minerals marry beautifully in the finish. 2 stars.
