Tasting notes
The 2013 Flor is gorgeous. A wine of pure texture, the 2013 offers up a compelling interplay of apricot pit, chamomile and honey, all with an attractive element of reduction that suggests the wine needs quite a bit of air after opening, which these wines usually do. Flor is 70% Sauvignon Blanc (Musque clone) and 30% Semillon, done with some lees stirring but not malolactic fermentation in blend [?] oak with some stainless steel.

The 2013 La Flor de Jonata (70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon) has classic and intense notes of citrus, lychee, lemon curd, wet stones and green herbs on the nose. These carry to a juicy, balanced and moderately concentrated white that has bright acidity and a great finish that's laced with vibrant acidity. Some of the past vintages had slightly more concentration, yet this excels for its sheer drinkablity. Enjoy it over the coming 3-4 years.
The 2013 Flor, Jonata's Semillon/Sauvignon blend, is bright, energetic and focused, with plenty of citrus, floral and slate-inflected flavors. This focused white needs time to fully come together, but it is full of promise.
