Tasting notes
The dark ruby-colored 1997 Pinot Noir Estate offers an attractive black cherry, earthy, spicy-scented nose, medium to full body, sweet tannin, and excellent cleanliness and overall symmetry. Fleshy, rich, and mouthfilling, this is a robust yet well-balanced Pinot Noir to enjoy over the next 3-4 years. The best chance of obtaining any of these wines is to get on the winery’s mailing list, or at least on the waiting list to get on the mailing list. Tel. (707) 433-2305; Fax (707) 433-2358.

Very bright ruby-red. Piercing aromas of redcurrant, strawberry, blueberry, violet, mint and flowers. Very rich and fresh in the mouth, if not quite as vibrant as the nose. Strong flavor of black raspberry. Harmonious acids nicely frame the fruit. Ultimately quite smooth. Finishes with firm tannins and very good length.
