Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2020-2026, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge has a very intense bouquet with black cherry and boysenberry scented bouquet. The palate is well defined with intense black cherry and citrus fruit, veins of orange rind and quite a firm finish. You could actually cellar this for two or three years.

Blend of casks from Gevrey. Late malo (August) because of the higher acidity. Pure dark-red fruit, fragrant and lively. Dark and a little smoky. Fine tannins and lots of freshness. Scented with dark fruit on the palate. Elegant and moreish. (JH)
