Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee is a potent, heady wine. A blast of dark cherry/plum fruit, spice, new leather, tobacco, spice, blood orange and earthiness lend body as well as richness. This dark, brooding Zinfandel packs a huge punch. Impressive.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2019 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee Vineyard is scented of blue and black berries with a pure waft of aniseed and earthy undertones. Medium-bodied, the palate is pleasantly firm and broody, and it finishes long with floral perfume. 590 cases produced.
The 2019 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee offers a striking combination of lifted aromatics and bright red/purplish berry fruit. I very much like the sense of energy here. The Whitney Tennessee is a subtle wine built on linear drive and tension more than textural exuberance. It is, in my view, one of the most complex wines in the range, but it is also quite reticent and in need of cellaring.
