2009 Vosne Romanee Les Suchots

Bright red-ruby. Black raspberry, crushed stone and minerals on the subdued but pure nose. Very rich but slightly reduced, with the black raspberry flavor dominating. Finishes with substantial dusty, firm tannins and a note of violet. I find this rather clenched wine difficult to assess today. Two of the five barrels were purchased in wine.
