Tasting notes
AP number 13 20. Pretty intense nose. Though still a little loose on the palate. Very youthful, even raw, with cooking-apple notes. Needs a lot of time to settle down. Wild flowers in a rather messy bunch for the moment. (JR)

The 2019 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #13 (Auction) offers a deep, ripe, complex, refreshingly slatey, very fine and elegant bouquet of ripe fruit aromas and crushed stones. Sweet, piquant and fresh on the palate, this is an ample, fresh, salty-piquant and light-footed yet also rich, intense, persistent and complex Domprobst Spätlese for a long-distance run. (SR)
Breathtaking complexity, thanks to an entire spectrum of fruit aromas (from apple to exotic fruit and a slew of berries), plus an entire microcosm of herbal and mineral notes! And the balance of racy acidity with all this and the merest hint of perceptible grape sweetness is like a lightning strike on a mountain top. Drink or hold.
AP number 10 20. RS 70 g/l. NB the AP number. Restrained pear-juice nose. Still quite tight with marked acidity. A little backward. (JR)
