The 2012 Nuits St Georges Damodes 1er Cru has an open bouquet, more generous than the two Morey Saint Denis '12s, with raspberry, wild strawberry and a fine mineral content. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, slightly chewy raspberry and cranberry fruit, but with good weight on the finish that will need another 24 months to soften and coalesce.

Bright, deep, saturated red. Terrific intensity and purity to the aromas of cherry, oak spices, minerals and flowers. Savory and penetrating, with tangy red berry flavors accented by peppery acidity. This very juicy premier cru really perfumes the mouth on the lingering aftertaste.
