Score 91/100 · Drink 2014-2017, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2014
Another delicious wine from Peay, the 2012 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) blossoms from the glass with dried pear, pastry, spice and lemon peel notes. The style is textured and layered throughout. The 2012 has fewer of the mineral notes than the 2011, but more in the way of depth and resonance. It should drink well for a handful of years. The vineyard sources are Peay (70%), followed by Searby and Campbell Ranch at 15% each.
