The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Fairchild Sigaro comes from a site on Pritchard Hill and spent 22 months in new French oak. Its vivid purple color is followed by a plush, sexy, seamless wine that has loads of oomph in its blackcurrants, toasted spice, graphite, and dusty earth-like aromas and flavors. It's a big, rich, powerful wine that has more texture and opulence than most in the vintage.

The 2017 Fairchild Sigaro is ample and expressive on the palate, with tremendous breadth and exceptional balance. Sweet floral and spice notes add striking inner perfume to a core of sweet, juicy red berry fruit. Polished, silky tannins give the 2017 tons of immediacy. This rich, radiant wine is totally irresistible. The firm hillside tannins need a few years to start to soften but this is a wine with tremendous promise.
Aged 22 months new French oak, the very deep purple black colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Sigaro opens slowly, steadily with warm cassis, baked plums and dried mulberries expressions followed by hints of unsmoked cigars, crushed rocks, mossy bark and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm frame of chewy tannins and appealing freshness, finishing a little firm. 300 cases produced.
