Deep ruby. Dark berries, cherry-cola and incense on the intensely perfumed nose. Sweet, palate-staining black raspberry and cherry compote flavors are lifted by zesty white pepper and pomegranate notes; plenty of power and energy here. Sweet floral pastille and spicecake notes linger on the very long, seamless finish.
About the producer
Williams Selyem is an iconic Russian River Valley winery best known for its Pinot Noir. Producing restrained yet classically Californian expressions of the heartbreak grape (as well as a host of other wines), the property has gone from pioneer to one of the region’s standard-bearers.
