Subtle aromatics carrying forward into the palate offer an almost creamy, red floral perfume with conifer accents and a sense of fresh mountain air. This is a pretty Pinot with fine-boned strength, nice acid-to-tannin balance, and a deft persistence of flavour. (ECB)

The 2012 Pinot Noir Connor is a tiny offering of 280 cases coming primarily from the Dijon clones and the Pommard selection. Its dark ruby color is followed by aromas of strawberries, herbs, and damp, earthy nuances. While ripe, medium-bodied and well-made, it does not possess the persistence and flavor depth of its less-expensive Russian River sibling. Drink now-2026.

Another highlight in this range, the 2012 Pinot Noir Connor Joy Road Vineyard is beautiful. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and licorice notes meld together in a supple, gracious Pinot endowed with striking inner perfume, pure fruit and fabulous overall balance. The flavors are vivid and celestial throughout. What a beautiful wine this is.
