Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge was aged 10 months in 50% new oak. Medium to deep ruby-purple, it has generous, lush aromas of warm cherries, mixed berry preserves, prosciutto and loads of floral perfume with a spicy undercurrent. Medium-bodied, it's lush and ripe with classy new oak character, a grainy, fresh frame and long, layered finish. A bold but balanced style.

One of the real standouts in this range, the 2018 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge is deep, plush and wonderfully expressive, even in the early going. Ripe red/purplish fruit, spice, leather, licorice and mocha all flesh out in this racy, voluptuous Pinot from Martinelli. Plush fruit and silky tannins give the 2018 tons of pure sensuality.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
