Tasting notes
Dark violet. Expansive aromas of dark fruit liqueur, incense, violet and spicecake, along with hints of olive and cola that build in the glass. Fleshy and broad in the mouth, offering deeply concentrated yet energetic black and blue fruit preserve and violet pastille flavors that are lifted by a smoky mineral flourish. Chewy and alluringly sweet on the extremely long, floral-driven finish, which is given framework by youthful, slow-building tannins.

Deep ruby, the 2015 Syrah Reva (100% Syrah) has pure aromas of crushed black cherries and blackberries, mint chocolate, dried thyme, roast coffee and charcuterie with floral notes emerging over time. The palate is full-bodied but surprisingly light on its feet, with finely detailed tannic structure and great freshness, finishing long. This is aging gracefully and should be very long lived, although it's approachable right out of the bottle.
The 2015 Syrah Reva comes from a handful of sites, and it’s from the more volcanic and gravelly, rounded stone soils that lean slightly towards the warmer end of the spectrum. Classic, blackberry, iodine, black olives, and spice aromas and flavors carry to a medium to full-bodied wine that has fine tannins, beautiful purity of fruit, impeccable balance, and a monster finish. It needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will keep for 15+.
