The highlight in this lineup of 2014s, the Pinot Noir Cuvée Agustina Katherine Lindsay Estate emerges from a single block planted predominantly with a Calera clone Pinot and a touch of Swan. Racy and flamboyant, the 2014 exudes intensity in its red-toned fruit and aromatics. This is another utterly captivating, exotic Russian River Pinot built to dazzle. And dazzle it does.

Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2014 Pinot Noir Cuvee Agustina Katherine Lindsay Estate offers intensely perfumed kirsch, violets and rose notes with underlying hints of wild thyme, lavender and fallen leaves. Medium to full-bodied with concentrated, lifted berry and herbal flavors, it has an incredible frame of fine-grained tannins and freshness, finishing long.

The special cuvée, the 2014 Cuvée Agustina Katherine Lindsay Estate is even more concentrated than the 2013. With delineated notes of Chinese black tea, blueberry, black raspberry, licorice and forest floor. It is superb, rich and potentially very complex. Drink it over the next decade or more.

A wine of significant potential, the 2014 Pinot Noir Cuvée Agustina Katherine Lindsay Estate is highly expressive today. Dark cherry, blueberry, violets, lavender and exotic spices flow through to the creamy, vivid finish. The flavors build nicely as the wine opens up. The Cuvée Agustina is quite intense, but never overdone.
