The 2018 Chardonnay Cuvée Louisa Goldrock Estate is the second edition of this wine. Fruit comes from the Goldrock estate purchased in 2016. This Chardonnay is incredibly expressive and perfumed with scents of chamomile, dried hay, saline and roasted almonds. It's medium-bodied with a dynamic balance of broad, honeyed flavors with bright mineral notions and lively acidity, finishing incredibly long and layered. Stunning!

The 2018 Chardonnay Cuvée Louisa Goldrock Estate shows just how brilliant Chardonnay can be on the true Sonoma Coast. Bright and finely sculpted, with terrific energy, the 2018 sizzles from start to finish. Citrus peel, slate, crushed rocks, mint and white pepper are all beautifully delineated in this nuanced and expressive Chardonnay from Paul Hobbs' estate vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. I loved it.

Paul Hobbs is one of California wine’s biggest names. Twice named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, he joined Robert Mondavi in 1977, worked at Opus One and Simi before setting up his eponymous winery in 1991.
