Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Robert Parker, Mar 2016

Dark ruby in color, with notes of sassafras, licorice and black cherries, the 2013 Pinot Noir Aidan comes from Dijon clones 115 and 777, 100% from the Sonoma Coast terroir called Wildrose. It is fresh and lively, but does reflect the huge yields of the vintage for Pinot Noir. It has good ripeness and medium body, and is best drunk over the next 5-6 years.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Aidan Wildrose Vineyard is another plump, juicy wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring, although it clearly has the potential to improve in bottle. Dark red and blue-fleshed fruits, smoke, spice, new leather and violets are some of the signatures.
