Tasting notes
The 2019 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge opens with delicate violets and bergamot with a core of blue and red berries plus accents of dusty earth, licorice and amaro. The palate is silky and fresh, with a flourish of spicy berry fruit and lingering spices on the very long finish. It's got incredible detail and layering, and although it's approachable straight from bottle, it will age well in the cellar. 271 cases produced.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge is a blend of seven different clones from a site planted in 1995 and 1996. Gracious and wonderfully deep, the Blue Slide Ridge is such a complete wine. Nothing in particular stands out, instead I am so impressed by the wine's balance. Rose petal, lavender, spice and red/purplish berry fruit all grace this exquisite Pinot.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
