Tasting notes
Good deep red-ruby color. Ripe aromas of raspberry and dark chocolate. Superripe, broad and sweet, with slightly high-toned, expressive flavors of raspberry and chocolate. Finishes with dusty, fine tannins and considerable fat. Enticing zinfandel, and good value.

The 2004 Zinfandel Old Vines (a 1,000-case blend of different lots declassified from the single vineyard wines) is one of the estate’s best buys. Aromas of plums, licorice, truffles, herbs, and briery black fruits are followed by a soft, plump, voluptuously-textured Zin to consume over the next 3-4 years. (Release date 4/06) Tel.
