Score 97/100 · Drink 2010-2035, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jun 2025

Tasted at the winery from magnum, Bryant's 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is reasonably mature, well into its drinking window, revealing scents of tobacco, scorched leaves and cherries on the nose. Still fresh and vibrant on the palate, this medium- to full-bodied wine is plump and generous, tremendously silky and long on the finish. This is from the Mark Aubert era at Bryant.

Ripe, concentrated, lush and deep, the wine shows layers of black and blue fruit, chocolate, vanilla, licorice and a touch of jam, with soft, polished tannins and a boatload of fruit from start to finish. 94 Points

Bright, dark ruby. Superripe aromas of raspberry compote and graphite minerality are complicated by a touch of herbs. In a rather muscular, backward style and a bit tough to taste today. Displays the slightly earthy, autumnal qualites often found in the '96s but also possesses very good bite. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. Much less opulent than the 2007. Bettina Bryant noted that this wine was a bit rustic in its youth, and it still needs further aging.
