Tasting notes
Here's a new addition to the Prunotto portfolio with some fun retro fonts used in the label design. The 2020 Barolo Mosconi (with 4,680 numbered bottles produced) shows an especially light and finessed side to Monforte d'Alba fruit. The wine delivers redcurrant, blue flowers and a subtle mineral note that is chalky or dusty in character; these give the wine a fine and silky close.

The 2020 Barolo Mosconi shows the power and breadth of this site, albeit in the softer style Prunotto favors these days. It offers dried cherry, mint, spice, leather and orange peel. I am interested to see how this develops in bottle.
