Tasting notes
This has excellent tension between mineral, youthful freshness on the one side and bright red fruit on the other, driving the wine over the medium-bodied palate at a brisk clip. Excellent aging potential but harmonious enough in the finish to enjoy right away. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Fixin Clos de la Perrière 1er Cru was tasted as component parts and a final blend with two-thirds whole bunch. It was raised in 20% new oak. This has a well-defined bouquet with dark berry fruit, crushed stone and touches of bell pepper that come through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh with fine tannins and a touch of white pepper. It's a little more complex than the previous vintage, with fine cohesion and a spicy aftertaste. This is worth seeking out—it is better than the 2022.
