From the heart of Corton. Densely packed dark fruit with a spice-driven lift and flor-edged aromas. The palate is lush and textural, with a seamlessly integrated mouthfeel and silky tannins. There is so much quality and no hard edges, so it can be drunk immediately or aged for decades to come. Drink or hold.

Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2027-2037, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Corton Grand Cru, which has lower alcohol than other cuvées, has an attractive bouquet with violet-tinged black fruit and a little more freshness than the Premier Crus. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, low acidity and a little licorice and fig notes toward the finish, suggesting that it just went past optimal picking date this year.
