2023 Savigny Les Beaune Aux Clous

The 2023 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Clous 1er Cru, which includes 50% whole bunches, just needs a little more coherence and precision on the nose. This doesn't quite click out of first gear. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and slightly chewy red fruit—a "solid" Savigny that doesn't quite match up to the superior 2022.
