Gentle and interesting. Polished and treacly. Lots to enjoy here. Impressively long. (JR)

Now from bottle, the 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is a ripe, sexy, exotic Syrah that has beautiful red and blue fruits, ground pepper, violets, spring flowers, and chalky nuances. These carry to a full-bodied Syrah with a supple, elegant mouthfeel, lots of ripe yet pure fruit, polished tannins, and a solid spine of acidity. It's going to need 2-4 years of bottle age to show its full potential, but it's a gorgeous Syrah that will see its 20th birthday in fine form.
The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley.
The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard has an alluring nose of red, blue and black berries with accents of grilled game meats, forest floor and peppermint patty. The full-bodied palate is savory and deep, with chalky tannins, juicy acidity and a long finish laced with youthful cinnamon tones. It will have more to show after 3-5 years in bottle.
