The 1994 Brunello di Montalcino is lovely, with tertiary aromas of leather, licorice, coffee beans, earthiness, white truffles and a delicate core of perfumed dark fruit. It offers excellent length and enough acidity to drink well for another five or so years. Anticipated maturity

The medium garnet-colored 1994 Brunello di Montalcino exhibits earthy, soy, strawberry and other red berry notes in the herb-tinged, moderately intense bouquet. Medium-bodied, soft, and mature, it should be consumed over the next 5-6 years. Importer: Dominic Nocerino, Vinifera Imports, Ronkonkoma, NY; tel. (516) 467-5907
