The 2022 Château Tayac Or Norme has a similar deep purple, inky hue, revealing blue fruits, saddle leather, exotic flowers, incense, and sappy tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, intense, and concentrated, with plenty of tannins, it should evolve well for 15-20 years.
The 2022 Tayac has a well defined bouquet of finely delineated blackberry, mocha and subtle earthy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a keen line of acidity, becoming quite sapid towards the moderately long finish. It may be a little rustic for a Margaux but it has charm.
Evoking aromas of blueberry, smoke, licorice, graphite and dark berries, the 2022 Tayac reveals a medium to full-bodied palate with firm tannins and a long and saline finish—a rather traditional wine.
