The 1990 Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Epenots is a fabulous wine that roars from the glass with a lusty bouquet of black chocolate, roasted dark fruits, game bird, Egyptian musk and plum preserve. Full-bodied, multidimensional and rich on the palate, with an ample chassis of ripe tannins and almost chewy extract despite its 27 years of age, this Pommard is long and intense. A magical bottle that nods to the great post-War Pommards of the 1940s.
