Terlato-owned mostly clay 25-ha vineyard. Mostly 35-year-old vines. Relatively rich with a little bitter bite on the finish. Great structure. (JR)

The 2020 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is deep and quite powerful, but also rather monolithic at this stage. It will be interesting to see if the 2020 acquires more finesse in time. There's a chance that will happen, as the 2020 has quite a bit of freshness and plenty of body. Today though, it comes across as rather raw and unformed.
