The 2021 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru does not quite have the mineralité of its peers on the nose. Returning after 10 minutes it does not kick on or evolve. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline entry, fresh acidity and quite edgy with a reductive finish that feels a bit incongruous. Maybe just lacks a bit of length but I admire its uncompromising nature. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
