Score 92/100 · Drink 2024-2039, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2024

The 2021 Ermitage Les Dionnières comes all from the eastern side of the appellation (and an older serene clone of Syrah) and was destemmed and raised in 30% new oak. It has a pretty, perfumed, floral character as well as solid depth of fruit on the palate. This cuvée never has a massive backbone of structure or minerality, but it's fleshy, round, and layered, with sweet red and blue fruits, ripe, velvety tannins, and outstanding length on the finish. It's already drinking well, and I see no reason it shouldn't evolve nicely over the coming 10-15 years.

Score 91/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, Mar 2024

The 2021 Ermitage Les Dionnières is a great result from this challenging vintage. Coming in at 13% alcohol, it unwinds with cured meat, black cherry, cedar, licorice and cold ash. Medium- to full-bodied, it hits the palate with solid energy and finishes off distinctively refreshing. It’s not as fragrant as the 2022 but still full of life.
