2017 El Sacramento

The 2017 El Sacramento feels very good for a challenging year like 2017. The wine keeps the profile of creamy and oaky Tempranillo with a pinch of Graciano. It's ripe at 14.75% alcohol and has abundant grainy tannins after spending 17 months in 50% new oak. They reduced the production drastically, sorting and discarding grapes, and they only produced 7,456 bottles, but the effort paid off in quality.
