Tasting notes
Bright and lifted, the 2024 Dolcetto D’Alba is expressive with notes of fresh flowers, red and blue berries, and wild bramble fruit. This vintage shows terrific vibrancy and energy. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing yet structured, with fine tension and clarity without becoming overly serious. Drink 2026-2029. I tasted the wines with Chiara Boschis at the E. Pira & Figli estate in Barolo, which she has led since the early 1990s. Chiara is now joined in the cellar by her niece, Beatrice Boschis, who represents the next generation at the estate. Beatrice has also begun exploring projects of her own, including an amaro that appears in this report, adding another dimension to the family’s work while keeping the focus firmly rooted in Barolo.
