The 1987 Echezeaux is as exciting as the 1986. More flattering and precocious in style, it shows excellent color, a lovely rich bouquet of plum-like fruit, plenty of spicy oak, relatively full body, and a long, crisp finish. It will be the first to mature among the domaine's wines, and should be ready by 1992-1993; it will age well for 15 or more years.
About the producer

Domaine de la Romanee-Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti or simply “DRC” is without doubt the most famous domaine in Burgundy and one of the most famous producers on earth. The Grand Cru vineyard from which it takes its name produces the world’s most expensive wine by a long margin.
