Tasting notes
Mint, tropical flowers, honeyed orange, spice, and crushed stone notes all emerge from the 2023 Condrieu Les Chaillets. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it has a pure, focused, elegant mouthfeel and beautiful overall balance. This brilliant Condrieu is well worth seeking out, and I'd put it up with the top wines in the vintage. It will drink nicely for at least 5-7 years. Drink 2025-2031.

The 2023 Condrieu Les Chaillets shows well, displaying intense apricot, cedar, lemon flesh and peachy aromatics. Honeysuckle adds a floral layer. Medium- to full-bodied, round and expressive, the 2023 is a delight, although I have a slight preference for the more radiant 2022 I tasted last year.
100% Viognier. Aged in oak foudres and casks. Lifted and floral, with a touch of white fruit as well. Supple and creamy on attack, then dry and zesty on the finish. Linear, fresh and focused. More of a contemporary, zesty feel. (JL)
