Cask sample. Mid ruby, quite developed in colour. And has a real sweetness of fruit, both fresh and dried red berries. Juicy, fresh, a little bit light in the middle, though the tannins are tailored to fit. Hard to judge but likely to fill out in the bottle. (JH)

Offering up aromas of smoky berries mingled with notions of potpourri, orange zest and peony, the 2022 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots is medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, with lively acids, beautifully refined tannins and a floral finish.
