Tasting notes
Aromas of dark cherries, berries, licorice and spices introduce the 2023 Corton Le Rognet et Corton Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, deep and layered wine that's the most concentrated, structured red in the range this year. If most of Guillemot's 2023s are rather immediate, this Corton will require a bit of patience.

The 2023 Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru comes from a 0.3-hectare plot of 50-year-old vines. It has a fragrant bouquet that leans more toward red fruit than black, well defined with the stems neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied and very cohesive with pliant tannins, expressive and elegant in style with just a touch of spiciness coming through on the finish. I can see this aging well in bottle.
