Aromas of cherries, licorice and vine smoke introduce the 2022 Marsannay Boivin, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and suave wine with good depth at the core and a delicately cedary finish. It's more approachable than the more structured Ouzeloy.

The 2022 Marsannay Boivin has a more feral nose than its peers but in a good way, a little sauvage perhaps. The palate is medium-bodied with relatively lighter tannins than Roty's Village Crus. It's a bit more conservative on the finish than I would like. Let's see if it gains more complexity in bottle.
