2009 Nuits St Georges Les Poisets

(these vines are now more than 70 years old) Deep red-ruby color. Wild aromas of dark berries, smoked meat, spices and smoky oak. Concentrated and chewy in the mouth, offering more texture and thrust than the foregoing samples. Plenty of tannins here but nicely supported by the wine's sweet middle. Finishes with a suggestion of chocolatey oak.
