Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2014

Pale-medium red. Withdrawn but pure nose shows a medicinal quality to the dark cherry, cherry pit and licorice aromas. Smooth, dry and moderately ripe, with good dark cherry intensity and a lightly peppery edge. More tactile and gripping than the Volnay and Volnay Premier Cru, finishing with good length and substantial dusty tannins.
