Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Bright red fruits, with an extra depth of flesh on the palate. Fine acidity and balance. Lovely, fresh, rounded fruit. Well worthy of its rank. (MH)

The 2021 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru has a high-toned nose with kirsch and touches of liquorice, quite exotic for the growing season in question. The palate is medium-bodied with a lactic entry. It seems to lose a bit of focus here and just attenuates towards the finish - so hopefully it will fill out more in barrel.
