Tasting notes
The Brovia 2020 Barolo Garblèt Sue' sources its fruit from a little-known cru site in Castiglione Falletto. Compared to the Villero, this wine is ever-so softer and fleshed out. Instead of the sharp mineral tones, the Garblèt Sue' shows a little more emphasis on fruit tones and floral aromas with violet and lavender bud. Some 3,300 bottles were produced.

The 2020 Barolo Garblèt Sue’ is a very pleasant, almost shockingly open young Barolo for this site. Wild flowers, crushed rose petal, anise, mint, spice and blood orange are all beautifully amplified. The Garblèt Sue’ is usually marked by incisive, forbidding tannins, but in 2020 it is pure sensuality. High-toned floral overtones grace the exotic finish. I imagine the 2020 will drink beautifully right out of the gate.
Lustrous mid ruby. Fantastic nose of cool red fruit, a hint of leather and stones and with a mere suggestion of green walnut. Firm yet fine tannic spine with cool red fruit spun around it. The tannins are really something to suck on. Lots of substance and finely balanced. (WS)
