The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas has a brightness and mineralité that the La Colombière does not possess. Very fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with a little crunch on the entry and fine structure, lace-like with a very subtle and focused finish. This is going to be difficult to resist in its youth. Lovely.
The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas has a clean and crisp bouquet with more mineralité than the La Colombière—vibrant and focused. The palate is taut and sapid in the mouth. It is quite an edgy Aux Réas with a touch of balsamic that enlivens the finish. I love the precision here. This is a classy wine that will give 12 to 15 years of drinking pleasure.
