Tasting notes
Quite intense and smooth-textured, with much less obvious sweetness than the L'Ensemble. Good freshness on the end. (JR)

Coming from the Dundee Hills, the 2022 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard is a jeweled ruby color and is bright on the nose, with notes of bright red cherries, fresh flowers, baking spice, and orange peel. Elegant and pretty all the way through, it has a touch more of a linear feel with fine tannins, and it’s more Volnay-like in style, with fresh, ripe acidity and a finish that delicately floats away. It’s a wine that will gain in intensity as it ages, but it’s a total charmer now. Drink 2025-2040.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Nysa is delicate and understated, with a sweetly spiced bouquet that blends violet pastille and sugar-dusted currants with lavender and cloves. Seamlessly silky, it sweeps across the palate with ripe red and blue fruits as a reverberation of youthful tension builds through a core of zesty acidity. This leaves the palate coated in primary concentration and a fine film of grippy tannin. Blue- and purple-toned inner florals to resonate on the close. The Nysa is an understated beauty—it’s impossible to ignore.
