2019 Bourgogne Aligote

Ente's 2019 Bourgogne Aligoté Antichtone (which now bears a moniker intended to evoke the other world of Aligoté to which this cuvée aspires to introduce us) offers up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it's concentrated and seamless, with tangy acids and a long, saline finish. As readers may remember, it's derived from three parcels in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet—together amounting to one hectare—that were planted in 1949, 1963 and 2002 respectively, and which are pruned in cordon.
