Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2050, Neal Martin, Oct 2021

The 2019 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a precise bouquet with slightly darker fruit. This has a little more complexity and terroir expression than the Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannins, fine acidity. Fleshy and sensual, with great symmetry towards the close. The Clos-de-Bèze has an excellent saline finish that lingers in the mouth. This has huge potential.

About the producer

Rebourseau
Henri Rebourseau

Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, this domaine has a long history and impressive vineyards (with over five hectares of Grand Cru), but has long been considered an under-performer. Today, however, the Bouygues brothers (of Montrose and Clos Rougeard) have taken ownership and change is afoot.
