Tasting notes
The 2013 Manoir de Gay has a light but pretty bouquet that still has that light truffle accent. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, respectable depth of fruit for a deuxième vin, with just a little coarseness and dryness marring that finish. But otherwise this is a decent Manoir de Gay that should be consumed over the next 2-3 years.

The 2013 Manoir de Gay is a soft, simple wine with hints of dilution and limited complexity. Spice, mint and new leather notes emerge, but there is very little depth here.
About the producer

There’s been lots of change at Ch. le Gay since the Parent family arrived in 2002 – with vineyards replanted, the cellars renovated and the winemaking adjusted. No surprise, perhaps, that quality is now higher than ever.
