Tasting notes
The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard is rich with fresh cut cedar, kirsch, and misty forest floor. Ripe and rounded on the palate, with a core of black cherry fruit, turned earth and baking spice, it should be held 1-2 years and drunk over the next 10.

The appellation 2019 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a great choice for readers looking to understand the more elegant, understated, yet balanced style of this estate. Revealing a ruby hue as well as attractive red and black fruits, salty minerality, and foresty, bouquet garni-like nuances, it's medium-bodied and has a round, supple texture as well as a great finish. As with all these 2019s from Failla, it has good underlying tannins yet a more rounded, soft, approachable style.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate is fabulous. A wine of uncommon depth and textural intensity, the Estate dazzles right out of the gate. Black cherry, plum, lavender, spice and licorice infuse the 2019 with myriad shades of sepia-toned complexity. The 2019 might very well be one of the best versions of this wine.
