The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières wafts from the glass with a lovely bouquet of pear, fresh pastry, white flowers, almond paste and lemon oil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and mineral, with fine depth at the core and a long, chalky finish.

Due to be bottled in March. Hazelnut, flint and restrained citrus. Fine acidity and restraint, in the more modern style of linear, minerally Meursault, rather than the buttery, fat idiom. Some tension and chew. Lovely length. (TJ)
