Tasting notes
The 2013 Moulin-à-Vent Clos de Rochegres is broody and backward on the nose compared to the other "Moulins," surly despite encouragement from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. It feels lithe in the mouth, with dark cherry and redcurrant notes merging with cranberry toward the structured finish. Give this 2 or 3 years in bottle.

Youthful violet color. Potent mineral-accented red and dark berry scents are complicated by floral pastilles and spicecake. Sappy, expansive and pure on the palate, offering intense raspberry liqueur and cola flavors given spine by juicy acidity. Fine-grained tannins shape the finish, which clings with outstanding tenacity and a resonating floral character.
